I’m excited to start this part of my life. I would love to say that I’ve always wanted to be a teacher, but I haven’t. I’ve only just come to the realization that it would be a great personal/career path. I would like to teach high school chemistry or biology, maybe general science or pre-algebra.
I grew up in San Diego, went to Crawford High School and graduated from SDSU with a degree in Microbiology with an emphasis in molecular biology. I’ve worked in the scientific community in San Diego for many years now and have decided that it’s not hard to teach the life science to others, especially now that the information and genetics of illness and heredity are becoming more widely examined and incorporated.
During the economic crisis I found my self out of work, so I activated my credential. I spent the next year tutoring math and substitute teaching.
